This dialogue between Eve and Satan is imagined, although based on the Biblical account in Genesis. Inspiration also came from The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis in that I attempted to write from Satan’s point of view (but I didn’t dwell there longer than necessary). The Tree was performed as one of the opening scenes in my 2021 show Inevitable.
“Any of these — Go ahead choose — Are edible trees — Look what you’d lose — Maybe a try — Such hunger should not be denied”

Writing this dark song meant going through a dark time, so I was relieved when I completed Into Adam’s Line, written for my show Inevitable and performed in 2021. The Bible says that sin came into the world through one man, Adam, and death came into the world through sin.
“From the garden filled with trees To every generation A will compelled to please itself In God’s creation Has been brought forth”

Life is hard. But there is hope. There’s hope in acknowledging the God who made the universe, and there’s hope in realizing He created us for a purpose. That’s the message of Something More, which I wrote for my show Inevitable. The show was performed in 2021.
“In the silence Do you wonder What you suffer for? You don’t ever Turn the corner Is there something more?”

Performed as part of my show Inevitable in 2021, The Son of God looks at the life of Jesus while He was on the earth. Jesus taught, He healed, He was the fulfillment of prophecy — and indeed He was the Son of God.
“Jesus went from town to town Surrounded by people Who needed Him He had long been prophesied A light in the darkness Of pain and sin”

The followers of Jesus in this song are on the same road He walked as He carried His cross. I wrote On This Road for my show Inevitable, and it was performed in 2021.
“On this road Just ahead Jesus walked By the crowd With the weight Of a cross”

As this song illustrates, love isn’t always what we want it to be, but it’s always what we need. The love of Jesus, demonstrated through His death on the cross, is the greatest love of all. Written in 2006, Love Looked in My Eyes was performed in 2021 as part of my show Inevitable.
“I said, I may not do everything I should But I think that I’m pretty good”

This is a song of introspection and devotion. When writing it, I pondered whether my motivation, from one moment to the next, was serving the Creator or serving myself. Servant Song was performed as one of the closing numbers of my 2021 show Inevitable.
“Will I give you more Or fight or just ignore Your holy words that bring me life Bring me life“

I wrote this song with the hope of communicating the gospel. Trying my best to be theologically accurate while keeping to the song’s hymn structure took many, many hours. In fact, I started writing Crucified, Now Alive in 2004, and years passed before I finished it. In 2021, it was performed as part of my show Inevitable.
“I believed and I came to the Savior Giving up my sin Now with power for good works I live in Him”
